Frette's latest biannual seasonal collection tours the architecture and environs of some of the world's most glamorous and culturally fascinating summer holiday spots, from Africa to India to Europe, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean.
Collections pay homage to the great French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, who lived in the colorful Moroccan coastal town from 1998-2008, give illusion of 3D and show the garden theme, with a delicate, all-over design, featuring a climbing, flowering plant. Or they inspire by India's great spiritual and cultural destination, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. White sand beaches, lush woodlands, aquamarine seawater, gorgeously-appointed yachts and sea-edge villas are among inspirations, recalling tradition motifs on classical Greek architecture. You will find also gorgeous baroque tile designs or delicate wicker motif in the petals of flowers in an Art Deco design, reinterpreted with the wild, free spirit of Cocteau.
